At Town and Country Housing Group we have a strong commitment to providing good quality housing, excellent customer service, supporting and developing vibrant communities and combating social exclusion.

We are committed to developing a positive approach to customer service, where the views and needs of residents are at the heart of everything we do.

We provide 8,000 affordable homes in 22 local authority areas in Kent, Sussex, Surrey and South London.

In addition to general needs homes, we offer a wide range of housing, including key worker, shared ownership and specialist accommodation including a women's refuge, housing for people with learning and physical disabilities, and a hostel for ex-offenders. We pride ourselves on working flexibly with partners to meet the needs of our local communities in both urban and rural areas.

Over the years we have invested heavily in our homes, with the result that more than 95 per cent already complies with the Government's Decent Homes Standard.

Town and Country is a founder member of Placeshapers, a national group of 50 community based housing associations formed in 2008. Placeshapers see the importance of working in depth with partners at a local level to achieve real improvements within an area. Placeshapers understand the strategic priorities of central and local government and contribute to their delivery as close and valued partners.

We are also a founder and core group member of the South East Consortium, a procurement group of 15 housing associations covering more than 70,000 properties. This boosts our buying power and helps us to achieve significant reductions by adopting good practice in the procurement of goods and services.
