A special money-go-round session has helped residents of YMCA’s Ryder House break down financial barriers.
Financial Inclusion Manager Mark Faithful spent time with the young people to help them to understand financial matters better to ease confusion and make the right financial decisions. The session was fun and interactive and gave the young residents a chance to ask questions in an informal and friendly environment.
Ryder House provides a home for up to 24 young people and aims to equip residents with the skills and confidence to cope with the transition to independent living and to encourage them to live healthy and fulfilled lives.
Mark has also trained staff at the YMCA so they can run similar sessions in the future with residents. This is as part of our commitment to improving financial opportunities for young people in our communities.
