As Investors in People, we have a strong commitment to staff development and maintain a robust budget to support our plans. We do this because we are committed to creating a motivated workforce able to meet challenges and provide an excellent service for our customers.

We recognise the value of ‘growing our own’, so we recruit staff who will develop personally and professionally to become our workforce of the future. By blending on-the-job experience with formal training, we equip our staff with the knowledge and skills to meet our future needs.

Our commitment to staff development includes opportunities for secondments, certificate programmes, professional training courses, coaching, mentoring and management development programmes.

Induction
Our training and development is supported by a comprehensive induction programme. This provides clear guidance ensuring that all new staff understand their role and the culture of the company. This is followed up by an effective appraisal system to identify and address our employees’ needs.

Board members and Tenants Representative Committee members are also offered a range of training and awareness sessions to help them fulfil their roles.
