Frequently Asked QuestionsRight To Buy

Are any dwellings excluded from Right To Buy?

By October 26, 2017 No Comments

YES There are a number, including sheltered housing for the elderly and those with special physical and/or mental needs.

Homes let in connection with the tenant’s employment, such as homes occupied by school caretakers and homes used for temporary housing.

In addition to sheltered housing being excluded, homes that are particularly suitable for occupation by elderly people because of their location, size, design, heating system and other features are excluded. If your application is denied under these grounds you will be told why and there is a right of appeal.
