In line with new government measures, TCH would like to make tenants aware that from September to February we will be updating our landlord meters located in properties with communal areas.

Landlord electricity meters that affect communal areas, including staircases, car parks and lifts are due to be replaced soon as part of a rollout of smart meters.

This is taking place following a government request that all older meters be replaced with smart meters. As a result, we will receive more accurate bills, as the meter will be able to read remotely.

The meter replacement takes approximately 40 minutes and the power will be off for this period – we apologise in advance for any inconvenience.

There will be no cost to the resident for the replacement.

The project is planned to start in September and run until February 2020, with minimal disruption during December. Please note that tenants who live in a block of properties with a communal lift will be told which day the lift will be out of action.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
