Update to our repairs service

Advance notice: Emergency only repairs service on Thursday 31 March and Friday 1 April to ensure a smooth transition to the new service starting on 1 April.

Last year we shared news about changes to the repairs service. We’re pleased to report that this project is going well, and the new service will be in place from November 2022.

The current contract is due to end on 31 March 2022 and interim plans are in place for when the contract finishes.

What will happen to the service between April and November 2022?

During this period Town & Country Housing will be providing the repairs service directly, using the same employees.

What will happen to Countrywise Repairs?

All employees will temporarily become part of Town & County Housing. This means you will no longer see the Countrywise Repairs branding. The workers’ vans and clothing will be branded with the Town & Country Housing logo. They will carry Town & Country Housing ID cards.

How will this affect my repairs?

The way the day to day service operates won’t change.

We are however continuing with the improvement measures that are already in place to:

  • Address areas where you’ve told us the service could be better
  • To catch up on the backlog of repairs created by the pandemic and resourcing and supply chain issues.

  • Non-urgent repairs MyHomeOnline

We have lots of plans for our repairs service and we’ll share more on these throughout the year.
