Volunteering time at Chatham

Spice Time Credit Town & Country Foundation and Spice Time Credits recently set up a stall at Manette House in Chatham to put across the concept of Time Credits to residents and explain what Time Credits could do for them and their community. Time Credits develop everyone’s time no matter who they are. Time Credits open up new opportunities to try new things, learn, be healthier and have fun. For every hour you offer in volunteering you will receive back a Medway Time Credit that can be spent at a number of experiences in Medway, including a gym and a comedy club. You can also spend Time Credits at many attractions in London including on the London Eye and Madam Tussauds.

Five residents said they were able to pledge their time and we had suggestions of:

  • a communal gardening/growing
  • coffee mornings to link up with residents and provide advice on local services
  • litter pick for communal projects on the day.

We want to gather your views further. This project is about the residents of Manette House and we are hoping to help form a group of people who can offer their time and skills and come together on a joint project.

If you think you would like to be involved please contact Sara at Town &Country Foundation on sara.hutchinson@tchg.org.uk or 07545207038 to give your feedback.

We are very much looking forward to hearing your views!
