Walking for Health already has over 360 walk schemes across the country, offering 1,800 weekly walks.

This November saw the launch of Walking for Health at Sherwood, Tunbridge Wells. The group met at TN2 before heading off for a gentle walk around the stunning Sherwood Lake & Woodland.

If you would like to take part, the walk will take place every Wednesday at 11am. It’s a great way to keep yourself active while making new friends!

Get involved

Sherwood is the first Ramblers Walking for Health scheme in Tunbridge Wells, but the Tunbridge Well’s Health Improvement Team are looking to open it up to other locations around the borough. They are looking for volunteers to lead or assist with walks, develop new routes and provide office support. Full training and support will be provided.

If this sounds like you or you know someone who might be interested, the Health Improvement Team are holding an event on 9th December in Tunbridge Wells to talk through what’s involved. For more information and to book your place, email health@tunbridgewells.gov.uk.
